Last night you took her apart. The stockings, the slow hours, your hands and then your harness, the sounds she did not know she could make, and at the very end, locked the whole time, nothing of her touched where she is kept, she came undone under you anyway, all of her at once. You held her while it went through her. You fell asleep somewhere after two, her face in your neck.

Or you did the opposite : you kept her at the edge until midnight, stopped one wave early, the way it is supposed to go, and sent her to sleep aching. It makes no difference to what comes next, except that after the first kind of night it often comes harder. Tomorrow, at about four in the afternoon, she is going to be flat and quiet and faintly ashamed of something she cannot name, and neither of you will connect it to last night, because nobody told either of you that chastity aftercare does not end when the light goes out.

On the page about tease and denial I promised the keyholders reading over their sissy’s shoulder that bringing her down would be the next thing I taught them. This is me keeping it. The hours after a session belong to the session, and they are yours to run as surely as the session was.

Here is what the general advice about aftercare will not tell you, because it was never written for a locked practice. Everywhere else, aftercare is a return to zero : the scene ends and everyone goes back to being ordinary. In a cage, the scene ends and the lock does not. You bring her back down. You never let her out. Everything on this page is done with the key exactly where it lives, and that is not a detail. It is the design.

And it is not a duty you get through before sleep, or a repair for something that went wrong. Nothing went wrong. It is the softest part of the night, the part where the two of you are simply close, and it looks after you as surely as it looks after her.

My Evy has a section of her own further on, because she knows the half of this I cannot see from where I sit.

And you, sissy, reading over her shoulder : this page is about what she gives you after. Read it slowly. You are allowed to want every word of it.

One word on words. The one in the cage is she on this page, as she is in our house. If yours still says he, read it that way. Nothing below depends on it.

What Chastity Aftercare Actually Is

Aftercare is the tenderness after a session : the time a keyholder and the person she took somewhere intense spend close together, coming back slowly and on purpose, until both of them are themselves again. Chastity aftercare is the same tenderness with one difference that changes all of it : the lock stays on. Nothing the session refused is handed back during the care. No consolation release, no unlocking to make up for the evening. What she receives instead is you, entirely.

Sub drop is the low that can follow an intense session, hours or a day later : a flat, teary, irritable or oddly ashamed stretch with no cause she can name. Some sissies go somewhere far away during a long session, a floating, slowed state the kink world calls subspace, and the drop is roughly its shadow. What went up comes down, and it tends to come down at the least convenient hour of the following day.

It has three moments, and each one has its own kind of tenderness.

And because a soft subject tends to be written either as a clinic or as a luxury, here is what it is not.

The first time I did it, neither of us had a word for it. It was years before Evy told me who she was : a Saturday afternoon, something new we had tried together, and afterwards she cried and could not tell me why. I held her and said the only thing I could think of, that meant something to you, didn’t it, and she has told that afternoon from her side. Most of what follows is that afternoon, done on purpose. Underneath all of it sits chastity as redirection rather than denial, which is where to begin if the lock itself is still new in your house.

The First Minutes : Come Back, and Stay

Let me be exact about where a session ends, because it is not always where people think.

After a night that ends with her undone, there is no gap at all. The session ends in your arms, and the care begins while she is still shaking. Do not get up. Do not reach for the light or your phone. Stay exactly where you are until her breathing has come back to her.

After a night that ends in denial, there is a gap, and it is deliberate. When I end one, a wave before she is ready, I put down whatever I was holding, say something entirely ordinary about tomorrow, and go and brush my teeth. What happens to my Evy in the forty seconds that follow, alone on the bed with her hands where I left them, she has described better than I could. Those forty seconds are still the session. They are where the refusal lands, and I leave them alone on purpose.

The aftercare begins when the tap stops running and I come back.

So the rule is not that you never leave the room. It is that you come back, every time, and that she knows you will. What you never do is end a session and carry on with your evening as if you had closed a laptop. And if the session was one you granted, the cage off in your hands for an hour, the relock is yours, and it is the last act of the session rather than the first act of the care. The lock closes. Then you begin.

  1. Stay. On the bed, beside her, for as long as she needs and a little longer, with nowhere else you would rather be. A sissy who has just been taken apart and then left for a phone learns that she was a task.
  2. Your hand on the back of her neck. Or wherever your hand goes in your house. Mine goes there, and has for years, and it says the only thing the first minutes need to hear : I am still holding you.
  3. She stays dressed. Whatever she was wearing stays on for now. Do not let her scramble out of the stockings and wash the evening off in five minutes. Being undone in a hurry teaches a body that it was something to clear away.
  4. The cage stays where it is, and you look. You are bringing her down, not letting her out. Before she sleeps, look at the skin at the ring, the habit the daily care of a cage already taught you both. Numbness, a colour that is wrong, a sore that was not there this morning : then it comes off tonight, and the practice waits.
  5. Ask her what it was like. Softly, her head on your chest, the way you would ask someone about a dream they have just woken from. Then listen to all of it, however it comes : half sentences, a laugh, a word she has to go looking for. Let her tell it in her own words, not yours. You do not need to understand every piece of it. You only need to want to hear it.

The session ends when I say it does. The aftercare begins when I come back, and it lasts until we are both ourselves again.

— Mistress Bee

All of it together is one gesture. A sissy taken somewhere far is carried there in your attention the whole way, and aftercare is the part where you set her down, slowly, with both hands, instead of letting go. Evy found almost those words once, about the end of a long lock, and I have never found better ones.

Ask Before, Not During

What she wants in those minutes is hers to tell you, and the best time to ask is a lazy afternoon, dressed, days away from any session. It is one of the sweetest conversations a couple like us ever has. Some want to be held hard. Some want ten minutes alone first, and then to be held. Some want to talk, and some want your voice and none of their own. Ask again after the first few nights, because what she thinks she will want and what she turns out to love are often two different women. If limits and a safeword have not been settled yet, that conversation comes before any of this, and aftercare belongs inside it.

Feed Her Tonight, Run Her a Bath in the Morning

Feed her. Something warm and plain, on a plate, in the kitchen or in bed, and eat with her. A body taken apart for hours, or kept at the brink for two of them, which is exactly what the app-controlled prostate massager does to a locked sissy on a long Friday evening, has spent more than she has noticed, and she will not look after herself properly tonight unless you do it for her. Water, too. Then sleep, beside you. Not sent to the spare room, not left on the sofa with a screen.

What you do not do tonight is review the session. No notes, no next time, no verdict on how she did, however kind. She is in no state to hear any of it, and whatever you say now she will replay tomorrow afternoon, at its worst possible reading. Talk about anything else, or about the night only the way you talk about a secret the two of you now share : the lamp that went over, the sound she made that neither of you expected. The conversation about what worked belongs to daylight, and to a few sentences.

And then the morning, which is where most keyholders stop and where I think the best of it lives. In our house, the morning after a long evening, I run her a bath, and when she asks for the key I give it to her, because the bath is her wash too : the cage comes off for it, the way it does every day, and a wash has never once been a reprieve. While she washes I make toast. When I come back she is lying in the warm water, and I sit on the edge of the bath and we eat it together, and she tells me things she would never say in the dark. Then she dries, locks herself again, and puts the key back in my hand. In the middle of her first locked month, the morning after the longest night of it, she wrote a diary entry from that bath while I was in the kitchen, and that morning is the whole of chastity aftercare in three things. Warm water. Plain toast. The key coming back to my hand. Nothing given back, and everything given.

The Day After : Sub Drop, and Staying Close

This is the part the promise was really about.

The drop, if it comes, rarely comes that night. It arrives the next afternoon, sometimes the evening after, and it arrives in disguise. She will not say I am dropping. She will say nothing is wrong. She will be flat at lunch, short with you about something that does not matter, teary at an advert, and quietly certain that she is ridiculous, that the whole practice is ridiculous, that last night was something to be ashamed of. On a mild day it is only a tenderness. My Evy’s are mostly that : quiet, a little tender, and gone by the evening. Not always.

The explanation you will read everywhere is chemical, a body that ran very high coming back down, and I will leave the chemistry to people with laboratories. What matters to you is simpler. A drop is not a verdict on the evening. It follows the best nights at least as often as the hard ones, because the higher she went, the further there is to come down, and it says nothing about whether the night should have happened. The danger was never the low. It is the low being believed.

So you stay close, because a low that is shared passes, and a low she carries alone gets believed.

  1. One question, the next day. At breakfast, or in a message around lunch. Mine never changes : Where are you today? It is a private code between us by now, and she knows exactly what it means. Never are you all right, which only ever gets the answer fine.
  2. Nothing deep the day after. No second session, no new rule, no correction held over from the week. The day after a long evening is for small, ordinary, kind things.
  3. A sentence that is only yours. Give her a phrase, chosen together in advance, that means I am still coming down from last night. It lets her tell you without having to explain, and it lets you hear it without taking it as a review.
  4. Proof of attention. A message in the afternoon, the hand on her neck as you pass, her favourite thing for dinner. The small reaches that feed a locked sissy through an ordinary week work exactly as well the day after a session.

When She Tells You

The hardest part of a drop, for a sissy, is saying it out loud. She is afraid it will sound like a complaint about the evening. It is not one, and what you give her, darling, is the certainty that it never lands as one.

When she tells you, it is the same kind of trust as a broken seal on the spare key : nothing to forgive, nothing to review, only something true put into your hands. The right answer is thank you for telling me, and then the hand, the food, the early night together. The wrong answer is anything that makes her regret telling you, and the worst wrong answer of all is to make the next session gentler because she told you. Do that once and she will never tell you again. She will simply drop alone, and smile at you across the dinner table.

When the Lock Comes Off : The Drop After a Long Term

There is a second drop, and it belongs to chastity alone. The general advice has never met it, because it does not come from intensity. It comes from the holding stopping.

After a long term, the unlock is the day everyone waits for, and how a keyholder decides when a term ends is its own art. What I did not write there is what happened to my Evy the first time a long one ended. She had been locked for a little over two months. I unlocked her on a date she knew, and that I had moved twice, and she cried in a way she still cannot explain to me. Not relief, she says. Closer to being put down carefully. Her whole body, in her word, unheld.

Think about what a long lock is from the inside. For weeks something has held her every hour of the day. Every evening she has asked for a key, out loud, and every evening that small ritual has told her whose she is. On the day it ends, all of it stops at once : the weight, the asking, the ritual. Of course she drops. You have taken away the thing that was carrying her.

So the care after an unlock is not a bath. It is a bridge.

Aftercare Is Yours Too

Nobody tells us this part, so I will : the after is not only hers.

Keyholders come down too. The kink world calls it top drop, or dom drop, and talks about it far less, because the woman holding the key is supposed to be the one who needs nothing. After a long night of reading someone’s breathing, deciding minute by minute whether to give more or to stop, carrying the whole evening in my attention, I am spent. Not doubtful : I know exactly what I did and why. Simply spent, and soft, and more in need of her than I ever let show while it was happening.

So I let the aftercare be mine as well. The toast is eaten together, in bed, crumbs and all. Her head goes on my shoulder, and I am held as much as I am holding. When she tells me the next day where she is, and what the night was from inside, she is doing more than letting me look after her. She is telling me it landed, and that is my aftercare. And in our house, the morning after a long evening, before I have said a word, she thanks me. Not for anything in particular. For the evening. She has never once been asked to.

Give yourself what you give her : food, sleep, a quiet day with nothing difficult in it, and her. You were not above the evening. You were in it, and the after belongs to the two of you. Aftercare runs in both directions, like a safeword, and a practice where both halves know that is a practice that lasts.

If Nobody Is There to Bring You Down

This part is yours, sissy, if you are reading alone. Most sissies who find this page have nobody holding a key yet, and you need it more than anyone, because you will run the session and the aftercare with the same two hands.

Everything above still applies. It simply has to be decided in advance, while you are calm, dressed and nowhere near aroused, because the woman you are at the end of a session is in no state to look after anyone, least of all herself. None of it is homework. It is you keeping her, the way someone will keep her one day.

  1. Decide the after before you start. You already set the stop before a solo session begins. Set what comes after it too : the first twenty minutes, what you will eat, when you will sleep. Then let yourself look forward to it.
  2. Lay it out first. Before anything begins, put out the soft thing you will change into, a glass of water, something to eat, the blanket. At the other end of the evening you will not go looking for any of it.
  3. Stay her. Twenty minutes at least after it ends, still dressed, still her, before anything comes off. You are not a mess to be tidied away. You are someone who has just done something real.
  4. Three lines before you sleep. What it was like, while it was happening. Tomorrow’s version of the evening will then be yours, not your mood’s.

And then the hour that frightens you, the cold one, when a voice you know very well tells you to throw everything away before anyone sees. That voice is not the drop, sissy, even when it arrives with it. It is older than your practice, and I have written down what to do in that hour, step by step. Read it before you need it. And if you want a structure that holds you for a whole month with nobody at the other end, a Locktober run alone is built for exactly that.

One day someone will do all of this for you. You will know how to let her, because you will already know what it is supposed to feel like.

From Evy : The Drop I Used to Hide

A note from me, because the part Bee could not see is the part I hid.

For most of the first year, I hid my drops from her. They came the afternoon after, at my desk : everything grey and far away, and a calm little voice telling me I was ridiculous and that she must be tired of me by now. I said nothing, because I had worked out, the way you work things out when you are frightened, that if Mistress knew those nights cost me something, she would make them smaller. And it would be my fault, because I had told.

She found out from the dishwasher. I stacked it at eleven at night, perfectly, twice, and she leaned in the kitchen doorway and asked me the question she asks every time now. Where are you today? I said fine. She waited. I got as far as the second plate.

She did not make the next night smaller. She made it exactly as large, and asked her question at breakfast the morning after, before the grey had time to start. So now I say it : I’m still coming down. Four words by the kettle, her hand on the back of my neck, and the grey goes back to being weather.

And then there is the rest of it, the part nobody writes about because there is nothing in it to fix : toast in bed with crumbs in the sheets, Mistress laughing at something I said in a voice that has not quite come back yet, her feet finding mine under the duvet, the cage exactly where she left it. If I could keep only one hour of those nights, it might well be that one.

If you are hiding yours, sissy, I know how sensible it feels. It is the one thing I would take back.

One Command, Because You Read This Far

This one is for the woman holding the key, and it is for the very next session you end, not the one after you have read this twice.

When it is over, and you have closed it the way you close things :

  1. Stay. No phone, nothing to tidy. Your hand on the back of her neck, the cage exactly where it is, and nothing waiting for you anywhere else.
  2. Ask her what it was like. Softly, like a dream she has just woken from, and listen to every word of it.
  3. Feed her, and eat with her. In bed, if you like.
  4. The next day, one line. Choose your question once and never change it, so that it becomes yours. Whatever comes back, the answer is thank you for telling me.

Then, this week, on a lazy afternoon, choose together the sentence she will use when she is still coming down, and let her try it out loud once, while nothing is wrong. You will both laugh the first time. That is part of it.

And you, sissy : when that message arrives at lunch, answer it with the true version, not fine. Last night you were hers. Tell her where she left you.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is aftercare in chastity?

Chastity aftercare is the tender time a keyholder and her sissy spend together after a session : staying close, keeping her warm and fed, and checking on her the next day, all without once letting her out. Unlike aftercare in other kinks, nothing the session refused is given back : what she receives instead is attention, and for both of them it is a pleasure rather than a duty. It covers the first minutes, the night that follows and the day after, when a drop is most likely.

What is sub drop, and how long does it last?

Sub drop is the low that can follow an intense session : flat, teary, irritable or ashamed for no reason the person can name. It usually arrives hours to a day later and lifts within a day or two, and it is common after sessions that went well. If it lasts more than a few days, keeps deepening, or starts to worry either of you, it is time to talk to a doctor or a counsellor rather than lean on aftercare alone.

Does the cage come off for aftercare?

No. In a locked practice aftercare is given with the cage on : you bring her back down without letting her out. The daily wash is the one ordinary exception, and it is hygiene, not release : if the morning bath is where she washes, the cage comes off for it and goes back on before she leaves the bathroom. The other exceptions belong to the body : numbness, sharp pain, swelling or a change of colour means the cage comes off at once. After a session in which the keyholder unlocked her, the relock ends the session, and the aftercare begins after it.

Does tease and denial need aftercare if nothing was released?

Yes, often more than an evening that ended in release, because the arousal was raised and then refused, and the body is left holding it. Two hours at the edge and then bed without a word is the classic recipe for a flat, strange next day. Stay with her afterwards, feed her, and ask the next day where she is. The denial stays where it was. The care goes on top of it.

Why does a sissy drop after being unlocked?

Because a long lock holds her all day, for weeks, and asking for the key every evening tells her whose she is. When the term ends, the weight, the asking and the ritual stop at once, and the unlock can feel less like relief than like being let go of. Give the days after it as much care as the decision to end the term, stay close while she finds her feet, and do not be surprised when she wants the cage again early.

Do keyholders get drop too?

Yes. It is often called top drop or dom drop : tiredness, flatness or an unexpected loneliness the day after a long session the keyholder ran. The answer is the same care turned around : food, sleep, an easy next day, and her account of how the evening felt. Aftercare runs in both directions.

How do you do aftercare on your own?

Decide it before the session, while you are calm : lay out something soft to change into, water and something to eat, and write down what the twenty minutes afterwards will be. When it ends, stay dressed a while before anything comes off, eat, drink, and write three lines about how it felt. If a voice arrives telling you to throw everything away, do not act on it tonight.
