Mistress chose the pair I am wearing as I write this. Pale pink satin, a bow no bigger than a fingernail, folded on the chair by our bed when I woke. I put them on without asking why that pair, because asking is not how those mornings work. I have felt them all day: in the line at the bakery, at my desk under a plain grey sweater, every single time I crossed my legs. That is what they are for.

You have a pair too, darling. Maybe several, folded small at the back of a drawer. Maybe one on you right now, under clothes that will never tell. Maybe none yet, only the wanting and a size you have looked up twice and closed. Whichever it is, you came here for what I wanted for years before I dared to want it out loud: to stop visiting your panties like a secret, and start wearing them like the truth.

So this is everything I know about sissy panties. Every type, and how each one sits on a body like ours. The pair that goes over a cage. How to choose a size from a chart that was drawn for somebody else, and where I would send you to buy. And the week Mistress chose mine, which is where all of this really began.

What Makes Panties Sissy Panties

Sissy panties are women’s-style panties worn by a sissy on purpose: as an act of femininity and, more often than not, of belonging. The cut, the fabric and the little bow at the front are chosen to be felt all day, not only to be worn. Any pair can become a sissy pair. What makes it one is the reason you put it on.

In the shops, the word means something narrower. Panties for sissies are usually cut with a man’s body in mind: more room at the front, sometimes a pouch sewn in, a waistband made for hips that were never shaped for it. Sissy on a label is a style, not a size, and it promises nothing about the fit. Some of the prettiest pairs I own came off the women’s shelf and were never meant for me at all. A few of the ones labelled for us were not worth the postage.

Mistress draws the line in what feminization really is: panties are where crossdressing starts, and feminization is what happens when the starting never stops. I believe her, because five years on I still feel the moment the fabric settles against me. It only means more now, because somebody else chose it.

The Types of Sissy Panties

There are more kinds than one drawer needs, sissy, and most of us own a little of each before we find out which ones we actually reach for. Here is every type I know, what it does on a body like ours, and who it suits. Under most of them sits a pair from SMBSM, if you want to see the shape before you choose.

Satin Panties With a Bow

The classic, and the pair most of you picture when you type the words. Smooth satin in pink, white or baby blue, low on the hip, a bow at the front, sometimes a lace edge at the leg. Satin is loud to the skin. It is cool when you pull it on and warm by the time you reach the kitchen, it slides against everything you wear over it, and you do not forget it is there for a minute. That is the whole charm, and on a hot day it is the whole problem.

These are the cute sissy panties, the pair that feels like a costume for the first week and like the truth by the second. If you want one pair that could only ever be hers, start here.

Who they suit: the Coquette first, and almost anyone for the pair that announces itself.

At SMBSM (Ad): the satin set, panties edged in lace with the bra to match, the one in my own drawer.

Lace Panties

Lace is the everyday pretty pair, and the one that teaches you most about yourself, because it hides almost nothing. Floral lace, sheer panels, a scalloped edge that sits on the hip like a signature. On a body like ours a lace brief usually wants a size up and some stretch at the front: lace has very little give, and where it does not give, it shows.

The sheer ones are another thing entirely. You do not wear see-through lace for comfort. You wear it to be looked at, even when the only person looking is you, in the bathroom mirror, before the trousers go on.

And lace comes in bolder cuts than a brief. The boldest is the jockstrap: a full front and a wide band, two straps under the seat, and nothing at all at the back. It holds you as securely as any pouch, and what it leaves bare is entirely the point.

Who they suit: the Lady in high-rise nude or black, the Dark Doll in black with sheer panels. The lace jockstrap, anyone who wants the front held and the back on show.

At SMBSM (Ad): a sheer mesh brief with a lace pouch and criss-cross straps, fully covered at the back whatever its name says; sheer lace tied at the hips with little bows, the cheapest way to find out what lace does to you; an all-lace thong with a wide band and a pouch; and the lace jockstrap, which I wear myself.

Frilly Sissy Panties

Ruffles across the seat, a frill at every edge, sometimes layer on layer of it. Frilly panties are the most theatrical pair in any drawer, and they are not made for a working day: the ruffles print through anything fitted. They are made for a role. Pull them on under an apron and a short black skirt, and getting dressed becomes the first part of the service.

Who they suit: the Maid, always, and the Coquette on her more playful days. If the uniform is calling you, Mistress has written about the whole practice in sissy maid training.

At SMBSM (Ad): lace ruffles all the way round the waist, with a sheer pouch, in black or red.

Boyshorts, Hipsters and Everyday Briefs

Not every pair has to be an event. A boyshort covers more of you, with a short leg like a tiny pair of shorts; a hipster sits low, with a wider band at the side; an everyday brief is the plain, quiet shape most women own a dozen of. They are the most forgiving cuts on a body like ours: nothing to adjust, nothing to roll, nothing to explain if a drawer is ever opened by the wrong hand. In a soft pastel, with a bow you would only notice up close, they are the pair Mistress and I would hand to anyone who has never owned one.

Who they suit: the Soft Sissy, and every sissy on the days nobody is meant to know.

At SMBSM (Ad): a lace boyshort with a bralette to match, in rose, black or white.

Sissy Pouch Panties and Sheaths

If there is one type I wish someone had explained to me years earlier, it is this one. A pouch panty is cut like a women’s brief everywhere except the front, where a soft, shaped pouch is sewn in to hold you comfortably instead of flattening you. It is the difference between panties you put up with and panties you forget you are wearing, until you remember, with a small jolt, exactly what they are.

Sissy pouch panties come in every fabric on this page: lace, satin, mesh, microfiber. The good ones keep the pouch soft and shallow, so the line under your trousers stays smooth instead of announcing what is in it. For a long day, they are the kindest pair you can own.

A sheath is the pouch’s narrower sister, and the shops use the two words for each other all the time, so here is the difference. A pouch is a rounded cup that holds everything together. A sheath is a long, slim sleeve that holds only the part of you a cage would hold, and lets the rest sit in the panty itself; some are open at the tip. Where a pouch softens the front, a sheath frames it, and some sissies love exactly that: the odd, specific feeling of being held and shown at the same time. A seamless sheath disappears under trousers. A lace one is for the evenings.

Who they suit: a pouch, honestly, everyone, and above all the sissy who sits at a desk all day and wants to be pretty without being reminded of it every time she sits down. A sheath, the Latex Doll, who wants her lingerie to look like exactly what it is, and anyone who wants the front to be the point.

At SMBSM (Ad): for a pouch, a lace hipster with a soft pouch and a mesh back, in six colours and in sizes up to 3XL, the widest range of anything on this page. For a sheath, a seamless one in smooth ice silk, discreet enough for a day under trousers; an open sheath on a brief with a lace back, for the evenings; or sheer mesh with bows at the hips and garter straps, for the evenings you dress all the way down to your stockings.

Sissy Thongs

A thong is a strip of fabric and a decision, but not every thong asks the same thing of you, and the difference matters more on a body like ours than on anyone else’s.

The string, or G-string, is the thin one: a cord at the back, often a cord at the sides, and a front so small it has nothing to hold you with. It is beautiful, it is exactly as daring as it looks, and on a man’s body it is nearly impossible to wear all day. It rolls, it creeps, it slides out of place every time you sit down, and by lunchtime you are thinking about it for all the wrong reasons. I keep my strings for evenings chosen in advance, when the point is to be looked at, not to get through a day.

The wide-front thong is a different garment. The ones cut for men or for sissies keep the narrow T at the back but give you a full front panel, often a proper pouch, and wider sides that sit flat on the hip. They stay where you put them from morning to night, and with nothing at the back to print through, they leave no line at all under fitted trousers. If you want a thong for every day, this is the one: I have worn one through a whole working day and forgotten it, which no string has ever let me do.

Who they suit: the string, the Bimbo, in hot pink and sheer. The wide-front thong, anyone who wants no line under her trousers and nothing to adjust.

At SMBSM (Ad): for the string, lace on thin elastic sides; for every day, a wide-front thong with a broad lace band and a full pouch, in pink among others.

Gaff Panties, for the Tuck

A gaff panty does the opposite of a pouch. Instead of making room, it holds a tuck flat, with a firm panel at the front and an ordinary back, so that from the front there is nothing to see at all. On the right evening, under the right skirt, it is the most transforming garment on this page.

A gaff is a tool before it is lingerie, and it deserves to be used properly. I have written out how to tuck safely, step by step, including how many hours is enough and which days to skip it. Read it before you buy one, because the garment is only ever as kind as the technique underneath it.

Who they suit: anyone who wants a skirt to fall straight, a dress to lie flat, a swimsuit to tell nothing.

At SMBSM (Ad): a smooth nude gaff with a shaped front panel and a full back, sizes M to XXL.

Panties Over a Cage

This is my pair. Most days I am locked, and the panties go on over the cage, which changes everything about what fits.

A women’s cut presses the cage flat against you, and by the afternoon you know where every edge of it is. A thin string pulls it forward with every step. What works is a soft front with room in it: a pouch, a stretchy mesh, or a pair made for exactly this, thongs included, with a support panel that holds the cage close so it does not swing or shift when you walk, take the stairs, or cross a room in a hurry. Fabric matters more here than anywhere: satin catches on the edges of a cage and wears thin there, and a smooth microfiber does not.

And there is the reason I call them mine. Panties over a cage are a lock, dressed. Every time my fingers find the waistband, they find both things at once: what she keeps me in, and what she chose to cover it with. If you are not locked yet and wonder what it changes, Mistress explains what chastity is, from the first lock on.

Which Pair Is Yours?

If you have taken What’s your sissy aesthetic?, your verdict already knows. If you have not, eight questions will tell you. Here is the pair each verdict reaches for first:

Sissy Panties for Men: Size, Fabric and the Front

Most of what goes wrong with a first order goes wrong here, and almost none of it is your fault. The charts were drawn for somebody else.

Size. Women’s panties are sized by the hip, so measure around the widest part of yours and read the brand’s own chart: never the letter, and never your men’s size. Between two sizes, take the larger. A pair that sits a little loose is a pair you wear; a pair that cuts in is a pair you hide. Some shops that make panties for men, SMBSM among them, give their charts by body weight instead of measurements, and their sizes run small, so read the chart every time, even for a brand you have ordered before. Every other measurement, from bust to shoes, is in my guide to a first wardrobe.

Fabric. At the prices most of us pay, satin and lace are nylon or polyester. That is not a flaw, it is what makes them shine and stretch, but they hold warmth and breathe less than cotton. For a fourteen-hour day under a suit, a smooth microfiber is kinder than satin and lies flatter too. Keep the satin for the days you want to feel every minute.

The front. This is the question no women’s chart answers. There are four ways to wear the front of a pair of panties, and every type above picks one: flatten (a women’s cut), make room (a pouch or a sheath), smooth away (a gaff), or dress a cage. Most of us end up owning all four. Start with the one that matches how you spend your days.

Padding. Some panties have foam sewn into the hips and seat. For around thirty dollars, nothing else you can buy changes the line of a skirt as much, and they work best with tights over them. If that is where you are heading, breast forms and hip pads has the arithmetic of how much is too much.

Wearing Sissy Panties Every Day

There is a moment, usually somewhere in the second week, when panties stop being an occasion. You stop thinking I am wearing them and start thinking, at odd moments, of course I am. That is the moment I want for you, and it only comes from ordinary days.

The Week Mistress Chose Them

For years my panties lived in a locked drawer in the spare room, behind a small key I kept on my own keyring and never once let her see. I have told the story of how I finally told her elsewhere. This is what happened a few weeks after.

One evening she held out her hand and said: The drawer. Not the key. The drawer, as if the key were only a detail. I took it off my keyring and put it in her palm, and I watched it disappear into her pocket with a feeling I had no word for yet. It was small and brass and slightly bent, and it was the first key of mine she ever held.

The first key of mine she ever held did not open a cage. It opened a drawer.

The next morning there was a pair of panties on the chair by our bed, folded square and exact, the way she folds everything. White satin with a bow: a pair I had bought years before and never once worn, because wearing it would have meant I meant it. I stood there a long minute in the cold. Then I put them on, and sat at my desk in them all day, and felt every minute of it.

She did the same for seven mornings, and never once chose the pair I would have chosen. On the third evening I asked her why that one, and she said, Because I looked at it longest, and that was the only explanation I ever got. Every evening she asked me the same question: When did you feel them? And I had to tell her. In the checkout line. On the stairs. All through a phone call I could not repeat a word of.

On the seventh evening there was nothing on the chair. There was a box on the bed, and in the box my first lingerie set, a soft pink bra and the panties that matched it, and a card in her handwriting: A week. Now the rest of you.

Not long after, we emptied the drawer in the spare room into our shared closet, and the little brass key went into a dish on her dressing table, where it still is, opening nothing. Half of the drawer I open every morning now is pairs she chose. Some mornings, not all of them, there is still a pair waiting on the chair when I wake. I never ask why that one. I put them on before anything else, and I feel them all day, and some evenings she still asks me when.

Where to Buy Sissy Panties

Where you buy matters nearly as much as what, because a good sissy panty shop knows two things a department-store lingerie counter does not: the shape of the body you are dressing, and how much the label on the parcel matters.

The shop I would send you to is SMBSM, which you may already know for its cages. Its chastity wear section, where the panties live, is cut for a man’s body, with pouches, gaffs, thongs and pairs made to sit over a cage, most of them between ten and twenty-five dollars. Two honest things before you go. Nearly everything there is nylon or polyester, satin and lace and mesh, and there are no plain cotton pairs at all. And the charts are given by weight and run small, with few sizes past 3XL. If you need cotton for every day, or a larger size, buy those elsewhere and come back here for the pretty ones.

What I like most is the box. Orders leave in plain, unmarked parcels, with no mention of the shop or of what is inside. When you remember deleting your history twice, that is not a small thing.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are sissy panties?

Sissy panties are women's-style panties worn by a sissy as a deliberate act of femininity and, often, of belonging. Most are satin, lace or mesh, many carry a bow or a ruffle, and the ones sold for sissies are usually cut for a man's body, with more room or a pouch at the front. What makes a pair sissy is less the label than the reason it is worn.

Are sissy panties made for men?

Many are. Panties sold for sissies usually add a pouch or extra room at the front and a band cut for narrower hips. Ordinary women's panties work too, often one size up, and a gaff or a pouch solves the front. Read each brand's chart rather than converting your men's size.

What size sissy panties should I buy?

Measure your hips at the widest point and use the brand's own chart, not the letter on your men's underwear. Between two sizes, take the larger. Some shops that make panties for men size by body weight and run small, so check the chart every time.

What are sissy pouch panties?

Pouch panties are cut like a women's brief everywhere except the front, where a soft, shaped pouch is sewn in. They make room instead of flattening, so they stay comfortable all day, which makes them the most practical everyday pair for most sissies. A sheath is the narrower version: a slim sleeve instead of a rounded cup, which frames the front instead of softening it.

Can I wear panties over a chastity cage?

Yes, and most locked sissies do. Choose a soft front with room in it, a pouch or stretch mesh, or a pair with a support panel made to hold the cage close. A women's cut presses the cage flat, a thin string thong pulls it forward, and satin wears thin where it rubs.

Can I wear sissy panties to work?

Yes. A smooth pouch or microfiber pair in nude rather than white shows nothing through pale trousers. Keep the lace and satin for the days you want to feel them every minute. Nobody will see them. For most sissies, that is half the pleasure.

How do I wash and hide sissy panties?

In the machine, use a delicate cycle in cool water, put each pair in a mesh laundry bag, and wash whites, blacks and colours separately. Without a machine, wash them by hand with a little gentle soap and press them dry in a towel. Dry them flat somewhere private, and keep them folded in one place nobody else opens. Lace and satin last far longer away from a hot dryer.
